How to create screen in JIRA service desk

 In this article we will discuss about the creation of screen in JIRA service desk. In JIRA service desk to create a customer form firstly we need to create a screen. After creation of screen in JIRA service desk you can associate different custom fields with the screen as per your requirement.

In JIRA service desk there is three types of screen are there which are given as below

  • Create issue 
  • Edit issue
  • View issue

Create issue 

This screen is associated with create issue in JIRA service desk. In customer form the fields which are linked with screen will appear when any customer click on create issue tab.


Edit issue

This screen is associated with edit issue in JIRA service desk  The field which are associated with this screen are editable. You can add different custom fields with this screen which are need to be edit during issue transition.

View issue

This screen consist the custom fields which are need to be view during the workflow transition. 


So now let's discuss how to create a screen in JIRA Service desk.

For creating screen in JIRA service desk please follow the below steps in JIRA service desk portal.

Firstly go to the setting tab on JIRA service desk & click on  the issue icon as shown in below picture.



After clicking on the issue icon now click on screen icon as shown in below picture



Now click on add screen icon as shown in picture to create new screen 

After clicking on add screen below screen will appear now add screen name and description and click on add as shown in below picture

New screen will be created after above simple steps now to find the created screen again click on screen and search the name of screen you have created as shown in below picture.
