Why Earth hole is largest in socket point?
The answer of this question is very simple but to understand it firstly we need to understand what is the need of earth point in electrical socket. As we know earth point is used to avoid the effect of short circuit. When short circuit is occur in any electrical circuit large amount of current will flow which will damage the whole circuit so to avoid this we use earth point.
We know that current is always follow the low resistance path so the resistance of earth point should be low so that the large amount of current will flow through it during short circuit.
So let us take an example to understand why the earth hole is larger area. if number of persons(electrons) want to enter in a room having door with smaller area(Large resistance) than number of persons(electrons) enter in room is very few and if area of door is larger than more number of persons(electrons) will pass through it.
Same will be considered in case of this question larger the area of earth point more electron will be pass through it.

where L length of conductor and A is area of conductor.
In case of earth point area is large then the resistance of earth point is lower. We know that earth resistance of earth point should be low so due this reason area is of earth point is largest.
