How to add custom fields in JIRA service desk

In JIRA Service Desk we can make customers request simple by creating a simple request form which help the customers to enter the detail of request e.g. summary description etc. 

To create a customer request form firstly we need to create custom fields and then need to associate the custom fields with request form.

Firstly go to project setting icon and click on issue icon as shown in picture below.


After above operation below screen will appear. Now click on custom field icon as shown in picture below.


Now click on create custom field icon as shown in picture below.

Now select the type of field that you want to add in customer form e.g. date format,multiselect etc. After selecting field type click on next icon.

Enter name,description,options for custom field. We have selected options fields in demo field creation so that you can understand the creation of custom field in JIRA service desk.

Now click on create & in this way custom field will be created. You can search your custom field which you have created in search box as shown in below picture.

By doing these simple steps you can easily create custom field in JIRA service desk. In our next article we will discuss about the types of custom fields in JIRA service desk.
