Why we cannot store AC

Hello friends in this article we will discuss about the question that why we cannot store Ac as Dc ?

In case DC it is a direct current & having a constant level if we charge a battery with a source there is will be two nodes one is + and another is negative. In this case current will flow from higher potential to lower potential  or we can say that current will flow from higher potential to lower. The will flow until the potential across the battery is not getting same as the source of charging .
Take an example of  two water tank one of them is full and one is empty now if we connect a pipe between center of  two tank then water will be flow from full tank to empty tank until both are not getting the same amount of water.

Now come to the main point i.e. Why we cannot store Ac as like Dc

As we know that AC is alternating in nature so it is very difficult to demonstrate the + and - end. Take an example if we connect a battery with Ac source it will get charged and discharged continuously. The speed of charging and discharging is depends upon the frequency which is 50Hz so we can say that the battery charged and discharged 50 times in second. Also we can say that the battery will be discharged through the source. So due to this property of Ac we cannot store it. Please refer below example for the same.

If a water tank connected to incoming  supply of water which is changing in nature (i.e. inlet and outlet the water at 50 times in second) then the water tank will never able to to store water. So this same case as like Ac.

So friends we hope that you will understand the above topic & if you have still some doubts please comment below.
